“A place for kids and their grown-ups.”
The above statement couldn’t be more true. If you have a child under the age of 6 or so and you haven’t been to Greenlight recently–GO!
I’ve written before about the benefits of play for growing people. You’ve also heard me sing the praises of parents taking really good care of themselves. Well, the new and improved Greenlight Studio will meet BOTH of these needs.
You can see that the space itself has been whimsically redesigned, the child-sized farmer’s market, tree house, and toadstool lounge area are all well appointed and welcoming. The cafe-vibe is very relaxing and you can see much of the play area from the comfortable couch. During my visit, moms and dads sipped lattes and chatted while their little ones played. Ahhh…the sweet isolation-busting power of this restaurant/play space–it fills everyone’s cup!
You can show up to play with your littles Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-3:00PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00AM-1:00PM. A cool new offering is cafe seating on the side of the bar that isn’t the play space. That means you can stop by for just a sandwich, smoothie, or coffee drink too. You can peruse the food offerings right here.
My son (who is a tad too old for the space in order to keep it toddler-friendly) absolutely LOVED the sweetly decorated fairy-like garden. You can see him kicking his feet up on a mushroom pillow in the photo below.
The fun has only been elevated over at Greenlight Studio. It’s truly an oasis for “children and their grown-ups.” When both kiddos and parents need a break from the monotony of home, text a friend and meet at Greenlight. You will be so happy you did.
